Bobby is the founder and senior partner of Donnell, Young,
Dole and Frutt. He began the practice in shabby surroundings,
with nothing but a typewriter, dreams of independence, and
Rebecca Washington as his assistant. He has built his reputation
as a litigator and is well know in Boston. He's a fine lawyer,
willing to represent just about anyone who comes to him. He
loves being a criminal defense attorney, but struggles with
the ethical and moral problems involved when he suspects his
client is not innocent.
Bobby is the leader of the firm, but he often doesn’t know
how to manage this role. He is conflicted about his success,
fearful that becoming too prosperous will turn him into the
kind of lawyer that lacks a sense of fair play, and values
high fees over justice.
